DESCRIPTION AND QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

EPAL (EURO) pallets may be produced from coniferous and deciduous wood. The thickness of EPAL pallet bottom boards – 22-24 mm. The upper surface of the boards from the outside and the inside must be chamfered evenly, corners must be cut off. Thickness of transverse boards – 22-25 mm (corners cut off). Only certified nails with a two-letter mark imprinted on the head may be used for the production of EPAL pallet. 78 nails must be hammered according to the requirements ensuring diagonal resistance of the EPAL pallet. EPAL pallets must be heat treated (standard ISPM 15).

EPAL (EURO) pallet load bearing capacity:
1,000 kg (nominal load), if the load is distributed randomly across the surface of the pallet;
1,500 kg, if the load is evenly distributed across the surface of the pallet;
2,000 kg, if the load is compact and evenly distributed across the whole surface of the pallet.
